The machinist is under the authority of the machining supervisor. He is responsible for manufacturing components for various equipment according to plans and deadlines.

About this position

MAIN FUNCTIONS
- Interpret drawings, blueprints, sketch and measure;
- Perform turning, milling, boring, and machining operations on conventional machine tools;
- Set up, operate, and maintain various hybrid CNC machine tools;
- Perform part searches;
- Perform quality checks using measuring instruments according to established plans;
- Solve problems;
- Performs cleaning;
- Performs all work required, within budget and time estimates and according to company quality and safety standards;
- Complete necessary paperwork with all pertinent information (time, parts, etc.);
- Perform all necessary safety and quality checks and inspections while using the tools and equipment assigned to him/her;
- Wear the necessary safety equipment at all times.

PROFILE REQUIRED
- DEP in machining techniques or equivalent or;
- Training can be offered in company;
- Good knowledge of blueprint reading;
- Meticulous, autonomous and resourceful;
- Ability to keep work area functional and clean;
- Have a positive attitude towards challenges.
