The heavy-duty mobile mechanic is responsible for repairing, troubleshooting, adjusting, overhauling and maintaining heavy-duty mobile equipment.

About this position
PERMANENT/FULL TIME/ROUYN-NORANDA
MAIN FUNCTIONS
- Repair, maintain and refurbish heavy equipment;
- Determine the nature of defects and failures in order to specify the extent of repairs to be carried out (diagnose equipment problems);
- Adjust, repair or replace parts;
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation;
- Perform periodic maintenance on equipment;
- Carry out necessary repairs on equipment;
- Support other mechanics in problem solving;
- Ensure compliance with OHS rules and procedures;
- Complete necessary reports;
- Contribute to a climate conducive to teamwork.
REQUIRED PROFILE
- DEP in heavy equipment mechanics or automotive mechanics with relevant work experience;
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in similar positions;
- Excellent knowledge of hydraulics and electricity.
